New Name, Same Great Service

On October 1, 2011 Eastern Illinois cooperative sold Aquality Solutions after 11 years of ownership to a local investor. Aquality Solutions LLC, as it is now known, continues to offer the same level of quality service that Aquality customers have come to expect. Dave Schippert and his sons Kent and Kyle continue to oversee the daily operations of the company and provide customers with their expertise.

Our History

Aquality Solutions began operations in 1952 by W.E. Knake under the name of Knake Servisoft. In those years the portable exchange tank service was the top of the line technology offered and was the predominant service offered by Knake Servisoft.

David Schippert purchased the company in 1965, and renamed it "Servisoft”. Then in 1972 the company became known as Schippert WaterCare Center. Dave Schippert continued offering the portable exchange tank service, but as technology changed and improved, emphasis was shifted toward the fully automatic water softening systems. These systems were better and more convenient for home owners.

Taking advantage new advancements in the industry Dave Schippert expanded his services and equipment to include higher capacity, more efficient water softeners, iron filtration systems and sulfur water treatment systems. These additions were better able to treat the typically hard water in the central Illinois area.

Also added to the product line were drinking water systems which included a metered carbon filtration-single faucet system, reverse osmosis systems, UV (ultraviolet) systems, and bottled water coolers complete with bottled water delivery service.

These new services gave home owners and commercial and institutional customers in the region more and better ways to have the best possible water. The Schippert Company was one of the most successful water treatment companies in the state growing from a one man operation to nearly 20 full-time workers.

On April 1, 2000, the company was purchased by Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative based in Paxton, Illinois. And with that change came a new name – Aquality Solutions. The name stated and summarized the corporate philosophy of the old and new owners. And the commitment remained the same - to deliver clean, safe, quality water through fast, friendly, and efficient service and the best equipment available. The new name – Aquality Solutions – says it all.

While the name changed, the people running the company remain the same. Dave Schippert and his staff of knowledgeable experts continue to serve the area providing central Illinois with clean, clear, great tasting water.
